A simple solution is to NEVER go to the link in an e-mail for anything like this. Go to the website by typing it in in the browser. Then find whatever may be mentioned in the e-mail (if it's there).
I've only gotten a few PayPal phishing messages but many for e-Bay. I figure that there isn't all that much they can do through my e-Bay account besides ruining my rep there BUT they are likely counting on a lot of e-Bay accounts having the same user ID and password as on Pay-Pal.
