Dear List:
A friend of mine is using Rogers as her ISP. She is also using a
webhosting service for her web site. We have set up
an email account using her domain name, but we have been unable to
configure it correctly so that it works through
her Entourage email program. It simply will not send or receive
emails.
I have successfully set up her account at my home, but I changed
the SMTP server address to the one I use through
my ISP. I was able to send and receive email without a problem. I
also set up this same account at my workplace.
Again, I changed the SMTP server address to the one at work. Again,
this account worked successfully.
Did you do this in Entourage? If not, i suspect an Entourage problem.
The SMTP settings you mention are correct, hers will have to be set
to the server address Rogers uses. But receiving the mail should work
from anywhere.
Try setting up the account in Mail, if it works then she's definitely
got an Entourage problem.
