In fact, you will also have the power key, which can be used to shut down the machine, instead of having to go to the Apple menu to shut it down. Starting up is a different matter, since I don't think USB has the same ability to sense the depression of the power key to turn on the machine. Think that was lost when the Sawtooth machines came out, since they didn't have an ADB port.
