Weird problem!!! Beige MiniTower, 400MHz G4, 768 ram Can get to OF prompt using "Opt, Command,'O','F'" Reset-nvram does NOT return OK --- I get 'unknown word' set-defaults returns OK reset-all restarts, as expected. Any Ideas???? Can start and run successfully OS9.1, OS9.2.2, OSX.2.8 So what am I wanting? to get the "Chime" back. Sound seems to work.
