Hey, G-Listers!
Thanks mucho for the response on upgrades for my newly acquired
Sawtooth! I was overwhelmed! I put an request on the Swap List and
received several tempting offers. One of which is a dual 850 - 867
mhz from a Quicksilver. Does anyone know any reason why a stock
Quicksilver CPU board would not work in a Sawtooth? I thought I saw
something on eBay from someone saying that it wouldn't work, but I
don't know if he knew what he was talking about. Input anyone?
Thanking you, again, in advance. . .

P.S. I believe a lister was asking recently about RAM for a B&W G3.
My experience has been that it makes a big difference whether your
B&W is a revision 1 or revision 2 mobo, especially if you're running
OS X. I had fits with my rev. 1 until I swapped out the RAM out from
relatively inexpensive OWC sticks for ones guaranteed to run on the
rev. 1. It's fine now. The cheap OWC sticks run just fine in my
rev. 2 machines. Of course, there are numerous other issues with rev.
1 B&W's.
