You can convert analog to digital by recording to tape and playing
it back. But
I was referring to REAL TIME converters which don't involve any
extra time or
use of tape at all.
Yes, but they involve the extra cost of getting a converter for what
is essentially a single project.
That said, there's another option, many companies will do this for
you. It's mostly a question of how valuable your time is.
The original poster already said he's getting a digital video camera,
so if he makes sure the model he gets does this, then his cost for
doing this is the price of some tapes and some mostly unattended time.
