    Do you mean front port?  In my Sawtooth, the front is labeled IDE and is 
where the Zip/CD hookup.  The inner side is labeled Ultra ATA and is where a 
HD or 2 would connect to.  Anyway, I am not trying to use a CD drive at all, 
just a harddrive (with a slave drive with no system folder).  The CD drive did 
work on the Ultra ATA port, but when I hooked up the harddrive as the master 
(the CD was always set to slave) the CD drive no longer worked (it wasnt 
recognized when holding option at startup).
    Furthermore, I booted into Single User mode.  Ran FSCK.  It said 
something was out of order, then said repairing Catalog B Tree, then said the 
disk 
could not be repaired.  Im so confused.
