On 9 I could batch change file type by simply dragging a folder over Typeshuffler or control clicking a whole set of files and choose change file type from my contextual menu. I am miffed as to how to do this in X. In X I can change each file to "open with" from the get info but a batch of them? Must be able to be done. I must say, I don't even know if X has file and creator codes any more! But it is the practical business of ensuring that, e.g., my old BBEdit files should now all open in TextWrangler. It is very time consuming doing each file individually.
Select one file, do get info, and in the Open With section, when you select what program to open it with, the button underneath, 'Change all' should un-gray. Clicking on this should change all your BBEdit files to work with TextWrangler.
