I fail to understand this at all. Personally, I think OS X is the best thing to happen to the Mac OS ever. Much better than anything before it. >> I'll have to agree on this. OS X never crashes on me. OS 9 gives me constant problems. OS X automatically defrags hard drives. I've noticed that a lot of OS 9 machines I use are so poorly maintained that they barely run. Extensions conflicts is a major problem but Im sure going years without defragging is a main problem as well. Sure, if you have a G3, OS X may be a bit overbearing for it. But if you have a G4 with a nice video card and a good chuck of RAM, OS X is awesome. I am a little biased as Ive had terrible experiences with 4 of the last 4 OS 9 machines Ive worked on or with.
