I'll just throw out some random thoughts: 1: Is it possible that the jumper settings were tried backwards?
2: Is it possible that this is a 350MHz chip? This can be verified by looking at the processor itself. 3: Were you able to fix any of the hard drive problems? 4: Have you made sure all of the cabling is still tight (especially hard drive cables)?
