And so it begins...
ON the evening before we anxiously await new iBooks to be announced
with dual core yonah processors, my little screen condition has
accelerated, and the screen is approaching being not able to be used.
Fourth time in for this, and since I've had it worked on much, I'm
hoping that rather than simply taking it away from another week or
two that they will simply take the most cost effective option and
just replace it. Oh well, at least I was smart about it and bought
applecare.
Still, I wish I didn't have to go through this hassle and could
simply have the working iBook I paid for.

True, but since Apple call PowerPC 750 'G3', PowerPC 74xx 'G4' and
PowerPC 970 'G5', what's to stop them calling the Intel machines
'G6' - I know the whole Generation thing was meant to signify the
relative generation of PowerPC processor going into the machines
but it's become something of a trademark for Apple now, and it's
not like anybody officially else refers to the various PPCs as
Generation X.
We can't say anything for a little less that a week yet :P
