 Me too.

Heheh - do you get the startup fun with classic? Might not work but try
anyway?

Classic works, but is abysmally slow and network connections time-out. So I boot into OS 9 properly, as needed.

to Entourage? At the rate MS is ducking out on Mac-based apps... why
migrate to something that's destined to be abandoned? Why not

I suppose I will if I have to - but Entourage is the nearest clone to
Claris I could find - and for me the best of the bunch I've tried.

Are there specific features you want that you didn't find in other mail clients?

I suppose I'd just feel better if the email files were single entities rather than a dbase and I could copy them over

The new version of Apple Mail maintains each message as its own file. But then again, that vers seems to bitbucket messages now and then.

rather than the mixed failures I've had with importing to a new client - it's Sod's Law that I'm going to need an email that has got lost in the migration.

Eudora uses the standard unix sendmail file format for its mailboxes, so they're more or less plain text -- not some bizarre database format. Worst case, you dig your lost emails out with a text editor.

Eudora has a built-in import function, btw. It supports Apple Mail, Claris Emailer 2.0v3, and Outlook Express 5.
