open the terminal, man cron, look at the stuff about crontabs.

then shrug; 'cos there aren't any in the directory,and stuff still gets scheduled for 3AM runs....

same  with rc and rc.local and /var/run/startup items.

I'm not sure where to look for a detailed list if the standard unix places aren't being used. Maybe there's a standard place I am not remembering.
