I never paid too much attention to benchmark programs. My "benchmark" was... does the box do what I want it to do? If not, I looked for ways to make it better. I had two Rev. 2 B&W machines. Both upgraded to G4/450 CPU's, 1 GB ram. One got a 64 MB video card and DVD burner. Also, a PCI USB 2.0 card and dual 250 GB external drives. That machine was quite an excellent computer. I could burn movies to DVD, although it took most of the day. (Start it before work and it was usually done when I got home). Watching DVD's and video files was acceptable. I might still be using it, but software came along that needed more horsepower and there was no way for my B&W to get there. If I'm not mistaken, the Sonnet 1GHz upgrade slows the 100 MHz bus to 66 MHz, negating a portion of your speed bump.
