HiYa Jorg, your input and suggestions are wonderful, but I think I would need tools built by Q for James Bond to pull it off. I am also still sold on these seams being glued. When I apply a lot of weight to the case these longitudinal (?) seams don't open or change one whit that I can observe. I also have difficulty entering an exacto blade in this small gap and a sharpened putty knife - like I cracked my Mini open with, was a futile gesture. Like using a chisel for a screw driver - just a little out of scale for the job. A steak knife got a little into the seam but I was only able to dent the edges the knife came into contact with. It's built like a flippin tank. Jorg, my thought is to 'attack' the case with a dremel tool and open the 'front' end and a 'window' in the top to see what I'm doing and to extract the cdrw. Does anyone have a reccomended bit for ripping open a sturdy plastic case? :-)
