Under 10.5.5 on my QS Dual 1GHz, I continue to have intermittent
kernal panics most likely related to an Airlink 101 USB 2 wireless
ethernet connector. Here's a description of the Airlink:
http://www.airlink101.com/products/awll3026.php

Wondering if anyone has a 11/16/08 solution for this? I have driver's
but they seem to stop with "10.4 and above". This kp thing occurs
whether I'm connected to a USB2 PCI card (Sonnet's Trio) or the
onboard USB 1.1 of the QS, or a USB 1.1 of a Sonnet Tango (USB1.1/
FW). I'm concerned it's messing up my OS by having kp's.

Here's the Airlink/Zydas link for drivers:

In another G3-G5 thread, someone reports maybe this driver would
work, although I cannot get it connected for my wireless USB device:

11nUSB.php

xlr8yourmac folks report a Rosewill PCI ethernet card might solve my
problem (getting rid of the wireless altogether):
http://www.rosewill.com/products/425/productDetail.htm

And another xlr8yourmac report suggest the ("non-Mac") SIIG NIC/FW/
USB2 combo card may/may not work, and/or because of the PCI-PCI
bridge, you may/most likely will experience reduced efficiency:
http://www.compuvest.com/Description.jsp?iid=589595

Here's the xlr8yourmac Networking page:
http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/OSX/os_x_network_cards.html

I guess solving the problem by switching to a PCI card and hardwired
ethernet would be the most stable.

Suggestions? Any experience with the SIIG combo card under OS X
10.5.5? Would be nice to also add USB2 as well as solve my ethernet
connection issue. It has the Realtek 8169 chipset that seems to be
favored still by Leopard, as does the Rosewill PCI card. Curious
about real tests on the USB2 and FW parts of the SIIG combo in a G4.
