What you say here leads me to believe that your problem may be as simply fixed as unchecking a box in the right place. You didn't say what OS you're using; the following instructions are for Mac OS 10.4.x, but should be easily translated to others: 1) Go into System Preferences and click on Network 2) By default, the "Show" drop-down list should be already be Network Status, so double-click on the "Internal Modem" listed 3) Click on the button "PPP Options" 4) Uncheck the box labeled "Disconnect if idle for XX minutes" 5) Click OK, which brings you back to the Internal Modem summary, then click Apply Now and close your System Preferences. Hopefully this solves your problem. :) Cheers, Tony --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
