I'm a big fan of Canon printers. I've had my MP600 all-in-one for
about a year and a half, maybe two years now, and it's been great. The
print quality is excellent, and I've never had to deal with a "clogged
nozzle" like I always had to back when I had my Epson. Also, the Epson
was like the "Hummer of Printers"—it went through ink crazy fast. The
Canon is more like the "Prius of Printers." It gets more work than the
Epson ever did, and the ink cartridges last longer.

Another major benefit of the Canon—and I believe that HP does this too—
is that you can still print when one color is low or even entirely
out. I remember that you couldn't do that on the Epson. And, the ink
cartridges supplied by Canon are transparent, so you know that when
your printer tells you it's out of ink, it's actually telling the
truth. (Epson got sued awhile ago because printers reported there was
no ink and refused to print even though there was ink still in the
cartridges.)

I hope that helps you make your decision.
