When it comes to 'Writing on the back' [Identification information,  
explanation etc.], remember 'Inks fade', Ballpoint inks have various  
chemical makeups that can be detrimental to the photo /paper  
chemistry [destructive reactions over time]. The BEST [meaning  
safest, least likely to have problems] is the good old #2 pencil.  
Written with a LIGHT hand-pressure. [You don't want the evidence of  
'things on the back' to be noticeable from the front.]
