I believe you've already solved the CD eject problem ...

AFAIK most CD/DVD bare drives (but not the added translucent shell  
parts of the QS & other similar Macs) will have the eject pin hole on  
its face plate, near where the bare drive's tray opens.

No drilling required if you can get to the bare drive face plate.

But the mouse down on startup solved your problem.

Thanks for the compliment, too. Made my day ... next one, too ... and  
today, thinking about it ... I may need to get Out more often ...
