There's no such thing as an ADB printer AFAIK. You're talking about an  
Apple "Serial" printer. The cables are somewhat similar, but  
different. The ADB is a 4-pin cable, identical to a 4-pin S-video  
cable. The Apple serial cable is an 8-pin cable  unique to Apple  
serial devices such as printers, modems, etc.

Perhaps if we knew "exactly" what you were doing, we could help? You  
know the default address of the EtherTalk device?
