It's in the Zeroconf (aka Bonjour) networking range, so it SHOULD show up in OSX's local range, but only if the Mac itself is using a Bonjour self-assigned address. Most likely your Mac has an IP address in the 10.n.n.n or 192.168.n.n range, which are assigned by your router.
