Thanks, Bill. Tower ports do work, and I will test this later today. However, I have to move the Tower from under the desk and somehow figure out how to use the KB with it plugged into back of Tower as the keyboard cable is VERY short. There's no having the keyboard on the table with the Tower under the desk, just doesn't reach. No room on the table either, the new computer is on there too. LOL. I did put to sleep, then unplugged the hub, but this didn't help it. Still woke right up. But I want to take the test further, as maybe unplugging the hub sent a signal. My other question is, what is the harm of not using Sleep? I have been leery of not letting the HD spin down when I'm in the other room doing something else, due to the fan breaking all those years ago. But maybe this is not really a big problem. I also tend to see it as a sign of something else going wrong. I think Bruce Johnson said Not Sleeping can be a sign of a hardware problem. What kinds of hardware problems?
