Can anyone help the ignorant, please? We have a local ethernet network that connects a G4MDD (10.5) with a G3B/W (10.4) and an old DECLaser 5100 through AppleTalk and an Ethernet hub.
The two computers are also individually connected by wifi to a separate router/modem at the other end of the house. All worked seamlessly until we tried to add an HP DeskJet 6940 to the Ethernet LAN - no problem for the G4 but whatever we do, the G3 can't see it.
