Yes - the G4 is on 10.5 and sees both the HP and the DEClaser over  
AppleTalk with no problem.

Not that I'm aware

Latest HP drivers for both systems installed

Ping from G3 returns "Cannot connect to host .... 100%packet loss"
(G3 sees DEClaser over AppleTalk OK)
