Hi,

I finally managed to boot my MDD into OS9 again and am now able to use
my old SCSI-chain, MO-drive, good ole Plextor CD-writer and my still
excellent Microtek-scanner.

The thing is I'd like to use my scanner also under OSX, I'm running
Panther and Tiger. When I open System Info I get nada under the SCSI-
header. When I click the info about the PCI SCSI-bus-controller I get
this (it's a Dutch system):

pci9004,7850:

  Type: SCSI-bus-controller
  Bus: PCI
  Sleuf: SLOT-4
  Fabrikantcode: 0x9004
  Apparaatcode: 0x5078
  Fabrikantcode subsysteem: 0x9004
  Subsysteem-ID: 0x7850
  Revisiecode: 0x0003

Do I need some special drivers to get the thing to work? It's an
Adaptec card with one 25-pin SCSI-connector. I thought that the
Adaptec cards were supported under OSX ...

Or do I have to buy another card? Which one would be the best? I only
need the old slow SCSI stuff. Thanks.

Regards, Jörg.
