I have that same 2906 card you mentioned and installed the driver from the Adaptec support site which should work. But when I boot into OSX with an active MOD device (turned on and a disc loaded) I get the dark screen with that useless advice in all those languages to reboot. The Mac will NEVER boot after that text appears if you don't fix it ;-) I've been working with (often long) SCSI chains since 1990 and know a thing or two, sometimes it really seemed like Voodoo. But since I used the SCSI PowerPlug® - which lets you add and remove devices without having to restart - I never had any more SCSI problems. It's strange that my chain works (no matter how much devices or if they are turned on or off) under OS 9.2.2 but won't under OSX, both Tiger and Panther. Yes, I have VueScan. Any more suggestions anyone?
