There is confusion on top of confusion here. There is no such thing
as OsX 9.1.

The correct naming of Macintosh operating systems in chronological
order is:

OS 9.1, OS 9.2, OS 9.2.1, and OS 9.2.2. After this came OS X in its
own series of versions. As one can see by looking at "About This Mac"
under the Apple menu, you see the ID of what the machine is currently
running.
OS X Version 10.2 Jaguar
OS X Version 10.3 Panther
OS X Version 10.4 Tiger
OS X Version 10.5 Leopard
OS X Version 10.6 Snow Leopard

Within each version of OS X, there are the updates such as OS X
10.4.6, OS X 10.5.6, and OS X 10.6.2.
