Gorka , I use my dual 533MHz Digital Audio ( only about a year younger than
yours ) - OS10.3.9 , 1.5Gb Ram, 256mb video card, 80gb + 120Gb HDs as my main
machine 8 hours a day drawing CAD plans for houses.
It is stable , fast ( fast enough for my CAD program anyway ) easy to work on
and easy to expand.
I earn a good living using this machine so your GigE still has many useful
years left in it for sure.
What budget are you setting for the video card ?
Look at the games your kids intend to play on this machine then see what the
min system requirements are for each game. That should be a fair indicator of
what you need to buy.
A nice upgrade would be a Radeon 9200 128mb card - about $75+ on ebay
