How can I get one of these disks?

ASD is short for Apple Service Diagnostic. They're only for Apple Service technicians, but some are leaked onto P2P sites.

I have a PM G5 Dual 2.7 and a PM G4 MDD Dual 1.25. Are they machine specific?

Yes, they generally support a small range of Macs. In your case, I suspect you'd need two separate versions. Information on these is not easily available AFAIK. If anyone has a chart or explanation of various ASD versions, please post it.
