You didn't specify the drink, and if was spilled on the keyboard, or on the screen- I'll assume the liquid made it into the case and onto the board. If you're lucky, it's just the cable or connection that is kinked or loose- it happens in disassembly/assembly. Jim mentioned the worst problem with spills on electronics, if stuff got under a chip, it'll just keep eating away at the metal until everything corrodes. Think of a penny soaking in a soft drink, or exposed metal in a coastal region. Was it a large spill?
