But are you using a PCI Ethernet card? Why don't you use the RJ-45 interface on the motherboard? (of course it is 10baseT, but it should work well if you're not doing any network-intensive work!) Asantes have trouble with auto-sensing routers... (at least the NuBus versions did, not sure about the PCI ones!)
