I've never had a Lite-On drive I'm kinda ready to replace the internal in my PM
G5 which is a Pioneer 118L it's only a year old but it seems to not be up to
snuff like the 117D drives in my PM G4 MDD I had 2 Samsung's with Lightscribe
for a day and that was a huge mistake, at least for me. It didn't even
Lightscribe good.

I have 3 Pioneer 116D externals, they seem to work well. I think I will try
another brand in the G5 to see if it's the drives or the machine. But I wonder
about brands, are some of them the same hardware just different names? I have 2
HP externals that do Lightscribe and they burn CDs and SLs OK but DLs are a
crap shoot on those.
