LaCie does not make drives. They package OEM mechanisms into their own cases. Lite-On, Pioneer, Samsung all make decent DVD drives, although to be honest, they're pretty much a commodity item nowadays....don't pay more than $30 for anything... Geeks.com doesn't have a single one above that price point.
