And just one more viewpoint: Why not buy another Radeon 9000 and spend the savings on maxing out the DA’s RAM? I’m not sure if the DA is faster than the MDD in actual practice, though. The processor isn’t that much faster, and the bus speed is slower. I think you’ve got two pretty equal machines there.
At the moment, I’m trying to figure out which of these two is faster: a 466 DA or a 2x500 GigE. I took the video card and HD from the DA to the GigE to "really" find out. It’s similar to your situation--at a lower level--because the GigE has a slower system bus and a faster processor. And you know what?
