Thanks for all the input!

I did some serious testing and benchmarking when I got the dual 1.8
GHz G4 upgrade, and I never got it to run reliably beyond 1.6 GHz. I
benchmarked at 1.53 GHz using Geekbench (CPU and memory tess), and it
was 27% faster than the dual 1 GHz MDD under Tiger, 19% faster under
Leopard. 1.6 GHz is just 4.5% faster than 1.53 GHz, so a 1.25 GHz MDD
would probably provide equal performance overall under Leopard,
although it would take a 1.42 GHz MDD/FW800 to match Tiger
performance.

The ideal would be a pair of 1.42 GHz FireWire 800 models with maximum
RAM.

Based on all the feedback, I'm leaning toward another Radeon 9000 Pro
for the MDD and bumping RAM in the DA from 1.25 MB to 1.5 MB. I may
also look for used 1.25 GHz and 1.42 GHz models. Craigslist can have
some great deals! (I got my 22" Cinema Display with a Quicksilver 867
MHz for $175 through Craigslist, then sold the Quicksilver for $100. I
love this display!)

Thanks again!
