Tiger install Cds. How do fix this so I can boot up in 9 and not break

To boot into OS 9 I believe that it must have had OS 9 drivers
installed on
the hard drive when the drive was set up. If you go to the Start Up
Disk in
System Preferences, do you see OS 9 listed?
