With the usual care and precautions PSU complete swap relatively straightforward ( You have to remove the optical drive chassis to create the space for withdrawal) - there are step by step illustrated guides out there - I've swapped PSU's in my QS and QS 2002. The problem is finding them at prices that don't call the whole project into question especially this (UK) side of the pond. My lucky break has been finding stripped end of use QS class machines intended for disposal - with working PSU's still in place. I'm in need of another (hint).
