Those scripts are nice/helpful, and that tutorial, while it's titled for jaws users, is also relevant to using audacity with NVDA, and other screen readers - most likely relatively specific to windows use (not sure of that one myself since have only used it on windows), and, there's also the audacity4blind e-mail mailing list:

From another list,
1. The 2.x version has the interface very accessible to Jaws. However, Gary Campbell and me has written a script to make Jaws speech some useful info to people. The Release candadate of Audacity Jaws script can be downloaded from Jaws-users.com, or
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/47990492/Jaws%20Script%20for%20Audacity.exe
   2. There is a guide for Jaws users from

Hi Jesse,

Yes, I have definitely heard of Audacity. In fact, I use it frequently
on my Linux machine, and have used the version for Windows some too. I
think Goldwave is a bit of a better product, but Audacity is
definitely a decent low cost alternative to Goldwave, Soundforge, and
some of the other more expensive audio editors out there. Once you
learn the hot keys Audacity may be all you need for sound editing.

Cheers!

Hi all,

I have heard about Gold Wave, but has anyone heard of Audacity, and if
so, what do you guys think? Thinking of getting one of these. Any
information would be greatly appreciated. (trying to create my own
game sounds)
