well aparently its been announced that after a lot of people emailed
him saying that they don't mind, liam is going to make the games free
in the next week or so.
He didn't want to dissapoint people that had brought the games by
making them free, but since a lot want it including me he will do so.
I brought the games but due to email issue with him I have not really
been able to get keys.
so whatever.
Aparently the reg system wwas a real pain in the rear, and they are old so.

Personally, I like the idea of selling the key generator and the
other software. If I change computers due to a breakdown or an
upgrade, I should be able to play the games on my new machine if it
will allow the software to run. If keys are no longer sold or
given, I should be able to generate my own.

I'm afraid I disagree phil on the selling of keygen software. That
is okay while it's still being sold, however if as Justin did the
software was sold for a limited time and then stopped you've
effectively done the same thing in denying games to future gamers
even on virtual machines etc.
If Liam is not planning on updating the game to work on modern
windows, either he needs to keep selling them with the proviso that
you must install the vb6 dependencies to get them to work, or he
needs to make them abandonware and allow key generation for free
just as Thomas Westin did with terraformers or David greenwood did
with Trek 2000.
That is the only way to stop them falling off the map forever.
Beware the Grue!
