Hiya,
A good mud for bloody descriptions would be God Wars II.  It's 
real...Different, to be honest, from most any other game.  They specialize 
in unique systems, which I really enjoy, myself.
The website is, appropriately enough, godwars2.com, the mud being at 
godwars2.com:3000.
