Yes, that was a very interesting read. Basically, in a nutshell Sander 
said if they don't get more funding for AGM the project is basically 
dead in the water. Which is too bad since I had high hopes for the 
project. However, this is often the problem with projects that are 
primarily research based and not commercially driven.
Research projects are written to find out what works, what doesn't, what 
could have been improved, and so on and so on. Research projects usually 
last as long as there is funding from the great god of research project 
funding. When it dries up so does the project and any hope to continue 
the ideas it may have held.
A commercial product may recieve initial startup funding to research and 
design the project, but once sold it brings in allot more cash to 
maintain future upgrades, tech support, justified research for improved 
versions, etc. Only when there is no end user money flowing does the 
product lose updates, tech support, bla.
Sadly, unless AGM recieves funding or goes open source where by the 
public has access to the source AGM will likely dry up as a viable tool.
