Yeah. It's rather bizarre. I did manage to beat the game though after 
several failed attempts. It was close at some points, parrticularly once 
when I barely managed to take out two Romulan Warbirds mere light years from 
McKinley and barely managed to get a badly damaged Enterprise in for a safe 
docking. I remember that both the shield generators and warp drive were off 
line, no phasers or torpedos and almost no power. I lost DS9 early on in the 
conflict and so I gravitated all my ships to McKinley, losing Sovereign in 
the process. I had a cloaked Defiant on its way to McKinley, but 
unfortunately it had an unwelcome tail in the form of the ICS Reklar, so I 
kept expecting at any moment to lose the Enterprise. How I managed to get 
the thing back safely I still don't quite know.
