Hi Bryan, That is one thing I truly like about STFC. the Unexpected nature of how a battle can turn out. I mean here you are thinking a ship is down for the count, and then repairs are completed, and it can escape unharmed to safety. In the next STFC release, (2.0,) I plan to add in allot more random factors like sips being abele to evade attacks, more random damage, etc. So battles will be allot more random and tricky to conduct. Another huge factor is every ship will have a hull integrety stat. When that stat goes to 0 the sip is dead. So let's say you fire upon a ship and it's shields go down. It may have shields down, but the ship isn't still easy to destroy,because all you did is lower its defenses.
