Hello Ac.

Hmm, I'm slightly confused as to why those links weren't working (I did
check them myself), but never mind, at least you've got them working now.

Ra is a compressed fie format like Zip or 7Z, and you'll need to extract the
files from the compressed Ra archive in order to play them. this isn't a
problem though. Just download a decent unzipping program (the one I use is
7Zip), which you can find oncemore on the Whitestick.co.uk site on the
program downloads page at http://www.whitestick.co.uk/download

when you come up against a Ra archive, just download it, then do you screen
reader's right click iquivolent on it or press the application key to bring
up the menue with "open", "properties" "cut", "paste" etc. You'll find asub
folder there called 7Zip, and a couple of options to extract the files.

Tads is another sort of game file format (probably the other most common one
beside Zcode).

You'll need a Win tads interpretter to play them. check on the text
adventure page from White stick or the other links and you'll find Win tads
there.

Dsk files are I believe, direct old emulated disk files from various old
computer sof the 80s, such as the Comador 64, Spectrum, Vic-20, or the good
old Comador Amigar. Playing these sorts of files rrequires emulation of
those old machines, which seems to be a rather complex process, and probably
not one you can attempt with a screen reader, so I'd advise steering clear
of those file formats for now.

Emulation might be something I'll investigate my self at some point (it's on
my things to do list), and when I've worked out how it's done, and how
screen readers work with the various emulation programs, I'l let people here
know.

Hth again!

Bewar the Grue!

Dark.
