Hello Greg. If you are in the Uk, your best bet is contacting the Rnib for a copy of their Catalogue of games and such.
I don't have their web site address handy, but their phone number is 0845 762 68 43. whether your in the Uk or not, there are also quite a few methods to use to make sited games accessible, Eg, sticky lables on squares, brailling ontop of playing cards etc. this is particularly useful for those children's card games, ---- often with rules similar to 31sor Uno, based on popular Tv series. I myself Had card games based on Ninja turtles, He man. board games can also be marked in a similar way, ---- though it does often involve creative use of sticky back plastic. I think the most major board game we managed to make accessible was the horror themed video board game Atmosphere, which required rediculous amounts of card brailling, and board marking as well. But the game was most deffinately worth it! Hth. Beware the Grue! Dark. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Greg" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "gamers" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, October 25, 2007 6:06 PM Subject: [Audyssey] a question about games > Hello, > I was wondering where to find some childrens games in braille so I can > play them with my son. > Thanks Greg > --- > Gamers mailing list __ [email protected] > If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at > http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org. > All messages are archived and can be searched and read at > http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED] > If you have any questions or concerns regarding the management of the > list, > please send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- Gamers mailing list __ [email protected] If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can make changes or update your subscription via the web, at http://audyssey.org/mailman/listinfo/gamers_audyssey.org.
