Hi Nicol, Yes the nightmare creature is the Dementor. The other creature that is not in the easy difficulty level is the Goblin. In standard difficulty you get the Goblin and in hard you get both. spoiler space In the case of any dementor in the castle they are all boggarts and can be defeated with the ridiculous spell. Since they are not really dementors I do not think they can kill you but just shock you quite a bit. But they can also be defeated by the Patronis spell. Phil
