Hi Nicol, I know the game is over after she is kissed by a dementor, but it does not say that Sarah actually dies. I leave that up to you to decide. The clapping sound is Sarah's father apparating near her and then he speaks. Or he should speak, "Sarah? Sarah, wake up." The short tune playing is her loosing all her magical energy.
