Well, it seems to me there is an easy solution to this problem.
Make your game with generic sounds for everything, don't give it a title
that is a licensed name, then upon game release a zip file mysteriously
appears on the net that has all the sounds from the Star Wars universe or
whatever that neatly plugs into the game and replaces all sounds.
The zip replacement would have no trackable source, and certainly would
not have anything to do with the company that released this generic game, it
just happened that a fan released a sound pack for it as far as they know
and nothing they can do about it in any realistic way.
This would cut into sales a bit, as you would not have a household name
to market the game with, but word would get out quickly enough amongst the
game community about what the deal was, and the sound pack would soon be
shared amongst players.
If you use this idea, you can send a cut of the profits to
[EMAIL PROTECTED], grin.
