Couldn't you record your own sound effects? you could find a piece of 
wood around somewhere that could be used as the sound of the wooden 
lance, you could use the cutlery from your drawer for the throwing knives etc.
In a game released in the early 1990s, the sound of metal robots 
crashing together was done by banging spoons together and then 
slowing the sound down.
